On September 18, National Concussion Awareness Day, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell commended the University of Michigan Concussion Center with an official statement into the Congressional Record. Her tribute highlights our groundbreaking research, specialized clinical care, and educational outreach aimed at advancing brain injury outcomes worldwide.
National Concussion Awareness Day is an initiative born out of one woman’s recovery journey that advocates for open conversations about symptoms, evidence-based care protocols, and preventative safety measures.
We are deeply grateful for this recognition. Every breakthrough in our research, treatment, and education is driven by a simple goal: helping civilians and military personnel recover and thrive. We are inspired every day to keep reshaping the future of concussion care, now and for generations to come.
