The Conversation featured co-authored research by Concussion Center Director Professor Steven Broglio and University of Massachusetts-Lowell Kinesiology Professor Eric Swartz. Their research focused on answering whether or not helmetless drills in blocking and tackling reduced head impacts throughout the season. Their findings show helmetless tackling and blocking drills did reduce the number of head impacts on college and high school players.
