As Managing Director of the Concussion Center, Julie Gales leads center administration, operations, and strategic initiatives. She brings deep administrative leadership experience from her previous roles at the University of Michigan’s Michigan Neuroscience Institute and Biointerfaces Institute. Her extensive background at U-M also includes serving as a Government Relations Specialist in the Office of the Vice President for Government Relations. Prior to working at U-M, Julie spent 21 years with the non-partisan arm of the Michigan Legislature, providing objective science and technology information to support public policy decisions and legislation development. She holds a Master of Science in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from Tufts University.
