Julia Leskow is a PhD candidate in the Michigan Concussion Center under the supervision of Dr. Eleanna Varangis in the Assessing Traumatic Head Injury with Neurocognitive Approaches (ATHINA) Lab. Originally from Hanover, Massachusetts, Julia completed an undergraduate degree in Educational Neuroscience at The University of Alabama, a Master of Science in Neuroimaging and Informatics at the University of Southern California, and a Master of Science in Movement Science at the University of Michigan. Her research uses MRI neuroimaging techniques to investigate how youth sport participation is associated with mental health, executive functioning, and neural processing, with a particular interest in understanding factors that contribute to variability in neurocognitive outcomes associated with sport participation.
