Chantel Hammond

MSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P

Chantel Hammond, MSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P, is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Nursing (Class of 2015) and a forensic nursing expert with extensive experience caring for individuals impacted by interpersonal violence across the lifespan. She brings more than 10 years of clinical experience spanning emergency medicine, community-based care, leadership, management, and academia, serving as both a lecturer and adjunct faculty member.
Chantel has worked and advocated nationally to improve access to specialized healthcare services for individuals who have experienced violence. Her professional interests include advancing research and improving healthcare responses for patients at risk of traumatic brain injury (TBI) related to intimate partner violence, with the goal of promoting timely recognition, evidence-based care, and equitable access to specialized services.
