Calliope Symond
Undergraduate Student
School of Kinesiology
Calliope Symond is a Movement Science student at the University of Michigan pursuing the pre-health track. Through physical therapy shadowing and hospital volunteering, she has gained experience observing patient evaluation, individualized rehabilitation, and interdisciplinary care. She is particularly interested in sport-related concussions, traumatic brain injury prevention, and long-term recovery following head injuries. As she considers a future career as a physician assistant or physical therapist, she hopes to better understand how research and clinical practice work together to improve patient outcomes and help individuals safely return to the activities they enjoy.
