Karisa Louangprasert is a senior research laboratory technician at the University of Michigan–Michigan Medicine, where she works under the mentorship of Dr. Jonathan Lifshitz. She earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Arizona State University.

Her research centers on traumatic brain injury and neuroinflammation, with a focus on how microglial responses influence long-term neurological outcomes following injury. She aims to advance brain injury research to improve diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care for individuals affected by concussion and traumatic brain injury.
